Cho La Cho La

The ultimate circuit in the Everest Region that links up all major valleys via three 5000m passes. If you want to do just one trek in the Khumbu, this is it!

This is a long, hard trek so you should be physically prepared in order to enjoy it.

Suggested Itinerary

Days 1-7 The first seven days follow our Everest Base Camp Trek.
 
Day 8 Trek 3 hrs to Chhukung (4730m).
 
Day 9 Explore the Chhukung Valley: climb Chhukung Ri (5546m) or visit the base camp of Island Peak (5000m.
 
Day 10 Cross the Kongma La (5535m) to Lobuche (4930m) in 7-9 hours.
 
Day 11 Walk to Gorak Shep (5160m). Visit Everest Base Camp (5340m)in the afternoon
 
Day 12 Hike up to Kala Pattar (5545m) in the morning. After breakfast we go back to Lobuche.
 
Day 13 Walk to Dzongla (4830m) in 2-3 hours.
 
Day 14 Cross the Cho La (5420m) over to Gokyo (4750m in 6-7 hours.
 
Day 15 A well deserved rest day.
 
Day 16 Explore the lakes north of Gokyo or climb Gokyo Ri (5360m).
 
Day 17 Cross the Renjo La (5345m) over to Lumde (4350m) in 6-7 hours.
 
Day 18 Walk 3 hours to Thame (3820m).
 
Day 19 Walk 3 hours to Namche Bazaar.
 
Day 20 Walk to Lukla in around 6 hours.
 
Day 21 Fly to Kathmandu. Transfer to Hotel.
 
Day 22 Transfer to the international airport.
